I was interested to see that Mary Jane was born in Staunton because I knew someone was supposed to be born there. It must've been her.

I've just about completed what I set out to do ie my mother had promised to get the whole of the family history written down for the New Zealand Coopers. She can't see to write or read now so she dictated what she knew and I have tried to research the missing bits.

One of the last things my father said to me was: 'You'll take me down to the forest again won't you.' (We put his ashes over Yat Rock).

I can see now why the forest meant so much to him.

This time I am looking at ELLEN WORGAN.(Born 1875) I already have the details of her marriage to Hezekiah SIMMONS (known as Jim) courtesy of the kind and helpful people on this site. I have tracked down her parents: George and Mary Jane WORGAN.


The bit I would love to see are any census records of the family.

It is through this site that I have been able to track down the information so far which is fantastic.
