Elizabeth Gough died 1797 Much Marcle, Herefordshire (reply)

I kindly thank you so much for this good information. I will keep looking and post further. Perhaps, Elizabeth's birth record is not available because she certainly could be a sister of Honora. I will try to look at Wellington Parish Records.

Elizabeth GOUGH (reply)

Tried to link to another tree with this information on Rootsweb -

but, just by googling

Ancestries of Errol Bevan and Hollie Atkinson Beven - with a

these have the GOUGH's with the same lineage - and as with the other website - an email address is listed - perhaps the Contributors have answers.

---

Looking at FOD records - there are only a few GOUGH's in the 18th century (Much Marcle)

Burial of John GOUGH 18 October 1781 - parents Thomas & Sarah
Elizabeth's marriage/death in 1797

and

Honora GOUGH's marriage to Elkanah Inns - 13 February 1798

.... so a small ('group'?)

Elizabeth GOUGH (reply)

Thank you so very much for your kind and prompt help and reply. I have seen those but, after researching "Elizabeth Gough" I have wondered how they determined that was her ancestry. How did she get to Much Marcle? Why is that Elizabeth Gough the correct one? I know it has her father's name as Henry Gauf, and she names a son Henry, but the Burfords are a whole line of Henry's so I'm not sure that is enough???? Probably it is correct, but I would love to see a few more clues. Again, thank you! thank you! for you resonse.

Tree of Fred J ADAMS - gives Elizabeth GOUGH's christening 24 June 1773 - Barrow, Shropshire, parents Henry GOUGH and Mary REEVES - and Elizabeth's marriage to William BURFORD + their children etc.

---

There are quite a few website trees re: Elizabeth GAUF/GOUGH - born 24 June 1773 (& 1776)- parents Henry GAUF and Mary - and you will find this baptism on the Church of Latter Day Saints site - under the spelling of the Surname (GAUF)
