thanks for your reply and for letting me know about the Holy Jesus part.  I visited it the year before last but couldn`t find any ALLAWAYs there They are probably at Ruardean which Isee is included.  I dont think mine would have been rich enough to have monumetal inscriptions<br />

<p>It does rather look like Norfolk is the first area to be surveyed.<br />
Gloucestershire FHS has done some work across the county and publishes a CD  :-<br />

<title>British Gravestone Database</title>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Came across the following in The Times newspaper.<br />
<a href="http://www.memorialinscriptions.org.uk">www.memorialinscriptions.org.uk</a><br />
A database of British gravestone inscriptions went on line on Friday 10th November. According to the paper the website carries inscriptions from more than 200 cemeteries and is expanding steadily.<br />
The database includes inscriptions and names dating from the 12th century.</p>
