Sorry not sure if I have replied to this message - was just going through some of my loose ends. Martha married a Charles Taylor from Gloucester and this is my line. I haven't come across the Martha you mentioned. However, George Stephens Martha Manns Half brother did marry a lady called Martha but if memory serves me correctly I think her surname was Fortey - may be wrong.

Hi Leigh, just found the message boards for this website & happened to find yours for the Manns family, havent got any info for you as such but I think one of Marthas sisters could be Elizabeth Manns (?) My Grt Grandads brother Thomas Oakley married an Elizabeth Manns in Kempley in 1893, her father was Samuel Manns. Elizabeth was 19 yrs old when she married and living at Notts Cottage, Kempley. Did your Martha become Martha Fowley ? as one of the witnesses on the marriage entry was Martha Fowley !

I don't know about the Baptism, but I have found a possibility for the Birth Registration if it helps? This is on FreeBMD.

I am looking for the baptism of Martha Manns c1867-70 in the Kempley, Dymock area. Parents names Samuel & Mary Ann, I have found Martha's siblings in the Parish records but not hers.

Any help would be much appreciated.
