If I see another Thomas John Joseph or Benjamin in the family i'll go jump on there graves in frustration, they all name their children after each other and they are driving me insane.

Sometimes you follow what you think is right then find another one with the right name approx date and it throws a spanner in the works

EDIT I think I've found Johns daughter on the census 1881 as Emily Davis at home with her parents...... doh

Hannah Ireland mentions a grandson called Thomas in 1887 in her will, Thomas is a prominent name in the Irelands but none matched up datewise, so it had to be Emilys child this confirms it I think

Emilys birthdate and place of birth is a thing I am querying, I've found an Emily Jane Ireland born Dec quarter 1850 but at Stroud, hopefully this might settle her age. Have sent for a birth cert
