Thank you for the reply, I have found the Jovial Colliers with George Wilks as landlord from your link, didn't realise that there were so many, it was the one in Ruardean Woodside. Can't find Rose n Hand but I believe it was in Ruardean, George Wilks was allegedly drinking in there with others before they were involved in the Bears incident.
