Miriam was born in 1866 at Ruardean, her parents were Henry BOUGHTON (Bolton) and Ann BOUGHTON (formely WILCE).

In 1888 she married Rueben Velinder RUSSELL at Bymawr, Brecon, Wales and they had a total of 12 children, all born at Ruardean.

May Brace has sent us a picture of the Bird in Hand at Broadwell. The old cottage next to the Inn is where May was born.
