Hi sorry for the delay.

I have bee off here for a while.

My Nan Gwendoline Vera Browning was illegitimate and there were stories that the biological father was an American soldier.

Please let me know if you find anything as I have been trying to find her biological dad for many years.

I completed a DNA in the hope of trying to establish the background.

I have seen a set of locked postings from 2006. Athertons at Taynton House, 1891.
Does anyone know anything about the Athertons? I see one was a vicar (Rev W. B Atherton). The reason why I am asking is that I have a DNA Ancestry match which appears to be related to both my Forest of Dean side on my mother's side and a Lancashire side on my father's and I am wondering if the Athertons in the posting are connected? Do the Athertons, Brownings and Holders have any connection with the USA? My father's side that he is matching with has dozens of vicars.
