House - 'Craddocks' at Awre (reply)

Thanks for details re. Gibralter and 'foundry', did they live in workers cottages?
George and Harriet Welch also lived at Craddocks in Awre 1861. We have seen the house, but are sure it must have been rebuilt. Are there any 'old' photos of Awre village? They also lived in a cottage near Awre which we think might now be called 'Firefly'. We visited Awre last August and ended up having a long chat with some locals.

Emma WELSH, Baptism

Baptism 1847 - on the transcript under the heading memoranda, what would the word 'Foundry' indicate? This is the only daughter of George and Harriet Walch/Welsh/Welch. She married a Thomas Church and lived for a while in Awre before going to live in Bristol.
