I suppose that it's possible but the only way to find out is to buy the certificate. As I know who his parents are anyway it doesn't seem worth the cost.

I wonder if he was born in Herefordshire but not registered until later in a Monmouth district ?

Dear Slowhands,

Thank you so much for all these BMDs. I think you have found them all except for William b 1847. He says he was born at Eaton Bishop, Herefordshire though his father was curate at Broadwell from 1846.

I shall have to send my parents to the register office to find their baptisms at some stage.

...is the Broadwell that you are looking for - this is approx 20 miles East of Gloucester.

This site deals with a Broadwell near Coleford , which would be say 20 miles West of Gloucester.

Hello,

Thankyou for answering my posting. I have alot of census information for the family but would like to find the children's baptisms. I must admit I am a little confused. I saw on GENUKI that there were 3 Broadwells but the children were born in Gloucestershire. Is this not the one that is listed on this site?

The Hereford baptisms were easy as on the IGI as were the Bulkington children.

Is this the right list for Broadwell, Gloucestershire? Are there any parish records available? I assume that the Gloucestershire record office holds them?

Any help would be welcome

This looks like Broadwell nr Stow on Wold , not Forest of Dean, however Eaton Bishop for the earlier children is closer to FoD !

Robert POTTERs family Broadwell

Hello,
I am new to this board and am looking for information on the parish records for Broadwell. I have not seen it in the list of transcribed parishes. Is it planned to transcribe this parish?

My interest is in Robert POTTER curate of Broadwell 1846-1856 and his wife Mary Frances POTTER. During this time he had 7 children whom I assume were baptised at Broadwell. He may also have had one or two children buried at Broadwell.

I hope that someone can point me in the right direction for finding more on this family.
