Regarding Charles GRINDALL, how do you tie into this line? I descend directly from Charles and Susanah's son William who maried Ann MASON.

I'll keep searching. There are some parish records in progress that may shed some light on this in the near future.

I have just had a look through my database for the Hale families from the Forest of Dean that I have been trying to put together and can find no record of a marriage of a Thomas and Mary in the timescale you mention. The only Thomas I have who married a Mary (and I don't know where I got the information from unfortunately) was a Thomas who married a widow named Mary Sier 19 Jul 1779 but that seems too early when you look at the christening dates of the children.
I have amalgamated quite a few on my database now but unfortunately when you have the same name parents with same name children it takes a bit more time trying to match the right ones up. I also have most registrations up until about 1950 in births, deaths and marriages.
I will keep you posted in case I come across any in due course.

There are two confirmed children:

Susannah, born about 1792, and Thomas. Both were Baptized, Littledean, June 27, 1798.

Susannah later married Charles GRINDALL in Littledean, 1808. She dies 1838, Littledean.
