Question re: Forest of Dean Heritage Centre.

Is the Forest of Dean Heritage Centre the only place to bequeath artefacts relating to Forest of Dean family history? If there are other museums please let me know. I have only visited the Forest of Dean twice - (for two short holidays, and I was impressed by the Forest of Dean Heritage Centre which I discovered when I was last there. It must have been at least a decade ago.

I also found a museum in Monmouth but I am not sure whether there may be other museums in the area too. Has the Forest of Dean Heritage Centre been affected by the floods? I wouldn't want to leave something to be looked after in a building which may flood. I would also like to visit the area again and investigate museums etc. further.

Of course I am aware of this site's facility for downloading photographs etc. too and will see whether I can use the local library's scanner to download pictures of the Rook family that I have. I also have a photograph of the shop which I think my great-great-grandmother had and would like to know its exact location and if it still exists.

Much obliged,
HB
