William FLETCHER Tinker - prior thread (reply)

Hi Slowhands
Thanks for answering. I had reread the prior thread before I wrote. Just wondered if the additional info about William's father James might have helped further. I guess I am not going to get any further back than James Fletcher. Unless anyone else has any suggestions for further searching.
Best wishes

William Fletcher Tinker family Forest of Dean

Hello

Last year I asked for help regarding William Fletcher born around 1857 or 1859 Forest of Dean. I was told he came from a tinker family. Slowhands gave me some help. since then I have William's marriage certificate. His age was given as 21 in April 1881 and his profession as Blacksmith's striker. His father was James Fletcher, a matmaker. The marriage took place in Northampton where William lived after his marriage.

Can anyone help further in tracing William's background given the new info about his father? Many thanks
