Wow Chris do you stay up all night? Thank you, I think Bevans Philpin is our man, their son was William John Jones Philpin.and a death of Mary's husband in 1850 would fit in with the fact that he was absent for the 1851 census.Later that year she married Will Wright and they subsequently named their daughter Mary Catherine Jones Wright. In that naming pattern, one would expect to find a Catherine either in the Jones family or the Wright family, or.....the Philpin family. but I havent been able to find one who might fit.Thank you for the help thus far anyway, it seems that one solves one puzzle and create another, but thats the fun of it I think

Thanks once again ! I think you may be right , however I cannot find the family in the 1841 census.I may assume that Mary had left home and be working somewhere( I found her in Pembrokeshire in 1851 with Susan, and her baby son) but I cannot seem to find the remainder of the family ten years earlier.

Hello, I am seeking sisters Mary, born c1824 and Susan Jones born c1827 in Redbrook. I believe their father was John Jones but I am unable to establish the name of their mother.Mary was a widdow (Mary Philpin) when she married William David Wright in 1851 in Chepstow.Any help in tracing this particular Jones family would be much appreciated. Thank you.
