John Smith (Surgeon) and his wife (Eliza) - 1861 Lydney

Hiya Im hoping someone can help me...I am looking for John Smith (surgeon) and his wife Eliza (midwife) they were living in Lydney in 1861 with William and Harriet two of their children who were both born in Radnorshire.

But Eliza was born in Lydney in 1811 I don't know her maiden name but her first child was born 1829 when she was 18 her husband John was about ten years older than her and he was born in Devonport. From 1841 or before they lived in Rhayader and had many children there.

It looks like John died in Lydney then Eliza went to live in Llanelli as she is in charge of the cottage hospital there in 1871. She lived to a ripe old age and died in Llanelli.

I hope this makes sense to someone as I would love to find out more about my four times great grandmother and her family in Lydney before she married and moved to Rhayader with her husband.

Thanks
Mel
