Hi Tony. I have Evan Jenkins married to Sarah Priest on 23rd Oct 1759 Record no 41850 is this the same sarah or not? I thought that this Evan was the father of Evan Jenkins born 1766 married to Sarah Morgan. I have a tree of Genes not not Ancestry, we could be related? Rosesann

My initial research indicates that her parents were George and Elizabeth making her born/baptised 1739? Same year as Evan.

Newland burial records ex Glos archieves may help

Hi Chris

Evan a member of my family married Sarah Priest on 10th Oct 1759 at Newland.

Evan was the son of William and Elizabeth Pritchard and the grandson of Evan(i) and Anna(e) Cook, my 7 x ggrandfather.

I am still researching my 8 and 9 x GGrandfather who I believe were Charles died 1684 and William b 1633 at Newent

My tree is on Ancestry. Jenkinsfamilytree.

Have 2 sarah priests 1 born 9thdec 1739 to george and elizabeth and 1 born15th Feb 1936 to Josephi and Margaretta. Which one married Evan Jenkins in 1759 newlands

Search me! It is the entry above your Joseph on IGI Newland. I saw that your Joe died at 6 years so it couldn't be him. The other one is just a possibility as I cannot see any other Josephs on the IGI. It would make him an "older" Dad, but as they all churned out children for years it wouldn't be that unlikely.

Don't worry, he'll turn up eventually!

I have a Josephus Preest christened 9th Dec 1710 Newland
died 2nd May 1916. parents Jhnis Preest & Mariae. So who was christened in 1693?
