A solution, as always has to be found by matching /pooling multiple sources, i.e. Parish record/transcriptions, Bishops transcripts, Family bibles etc etc;

A Pedigree Resource File - in itself - is of little value , we need the other records to support what is claimed in a PRF.

In this example the transcribed Baptism record occurs on the day the PRF claims the birth .

There does seem to be some confusion in the transcribed records. Pedigree Resource File (Family Search.org) has Thomas Dee baptised 31st March 1762 (actually at Westbury on Severn not Micheldean.) Father William Dee. This record also has Thomas Dee Marriages - 1. Hannah Hayward 6 Sept 1789 and 2. Esther Broben 11th Sept 1801. These marriages are also claimed for Thomas Dee,baptised 1763 Westbury on Severn, illigitimate son of Ann Dee.

My wife also is a descendant of Thomas Dee who appears in the Westbury on Severn Baptismal Register, 1763. However the IGI also has a Thomas Dee baptised at Micheldean in 1762, father William Dee. Has anyone been able to correctly identify the descendants of either of these ?

Not sure if she is one of mine as I only came across the connection with the Bullocks recently through a distant cousin in New Zealand. Up till then I had been tracing the Dee family and had been able to get back to Thomas Dee 1763 son of Ann Dee and Jacob Bullock. However will keep this bit of info safe and see if it eventually fits into my tree. Thanks for your help. It really is most appreciated.

Jacob BULLOCK, Elizabeth ANDREWS nee WINTLE circa 1750's

Does anyone have any further information on Jacob Bullock. So far my research has turned up the following

Married Joan SMITH 22 May 1744, Daughter Susanna born in 1751, both Joan and her daughter died in that year.

Had two illegitmate children with Ann DEE 1741, these being Thomas DEE 1763 and Elizabeth DEE 1770, before marrying her in 1777 and having two more daughters, Mary and Phoebe Bullock. Jacob died 1783.

Records also show Jacob as father to Martha Bullock 1754, Anne Bullock 1757 and two Hannahs, one 1760 and one 1767 by a lady called Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Andrews. Further searching has unearthed the marriage of Thomas and Elizabeth on 19 May 1736 and shows that Elizabeth is a WINTLE.

Jacob seems to have had a eye for the ladies!

I am descended from Thomas DEE 1763.
