Latin Words - Soluta, Solutus (reply)

Free, unrestrained,....

...... single, unmarried (female) >>>>> ( in this context )

so, if you find a Solutus I would translate as single, unmarried (male form)

Latin Word - Soluta

Transcribing marriage register in Latin the word comes after "of parish St John Baptist in City and Diocese of Gloucester" and before celebrated the groom is a widower and I believe this most probably relates to status of bride.
Any help gratefully received.
Tony
