Lydia WHEELER 1814 Walford (reply)

Hello,

Joseph MARSHALL and his wife Sarah WHEELER are my husband's gt-gt-gt-grandparents. On the 1861 Wales census they are resident in Matherne, and Sarah gives her birthplace as Norton, Gloucs. There is a Sarah WHEELER baptised 1802 in Norton, on the IGI, (see below). I'm interested to know why you think Sarah is the daughter of Thomas and Frances?

Kind regards,
N.

Sarah Wheeler bap. 1813 Walford (reply)

Thank you for your kind input but I have looked through your information and am still at a loss, as stated in Record ID 161279, Thomas & Frances Wheeler Resided at Coughton Mill in Walford, there is no information on the mill that I can find, if the mill was owned by the Wheeler family as seems to be the reference in the statement Miller & Co in occupation then there should be some sort of record to the fact.
The information in Record ID 161279 and Record ID 13394. match the state of the exploration that I have reached so far by using the parish records.
Also searching through the Parish Records I cannot find any mention of Sarah's Father or Mother. did they move into the area to work?
