Quite a choice for Thomas POWELL's from Hereford c1872 - the Marriage Certificate should give his father's name.

Still trying to find them on the 1901 census: Assume -Florence age 12 on the 1911 census, is Edith Florence POWELL, O/N/D Qtr 1898 Ross District.

that's him!! how do I find his parents / siblings etc? I've hit a real brick wall with this and can't trace him at all. I've looked under Thomas Powell, T Powell, Thomas Henry Powell, Thomas H Powell etc etc etc.

thank you for your reply. I don't think that Thomas is my grandfather though. As far as I am aware, Alice was an only child and so the sister-in-law wouldn't be right. also they lived in Aberdare and Hurwain for a period when their 6 daughters were born. Thank you for your help though.

Please can anyone help. Thomas Henry Powell is my great grandfather. He was married to Alice Eliza Latham and they had 6 daughters. For a short while they didn't live in Ross or the surrounding area but did spend the majority of their lives there. Does anyone have any information about Thomas, who is parents were, where he had siblings etc? I have lots of information about his daughters, their husbands and so on, but Thomas seems to be a bit of a mystery. All help will be very gratefully received.
