I don't know if anyone else has any ideas how we can find William's mother?
I've tried looking for illegitimate William's born at the the time and there are three to choose from on the records. He might show up on a census but William Jones is a tad common name!

We need the advice of the experts now please!

You were right regarding Ada Beach parish records do have her as 20 years old but she was not quite 16 at the time of marriage.

How can I access the baptism records? Any idea how I can trace the mother's name for William Jones Snr (Birth father William Priday)

Hello Eirwen,
We've already been in touch, I've opened my tree for you on Genesreunited . With regard to William Henry Jones . I have William Henry Jones born 2/4/1880 and bap 16/10/1881, his parents were William Jones and Mirah Beach.I know your grandmother Kate Robins was my grandfather's sister,their mother was Ada Beach and Mirah was her sister .
I have Ada's birth certificate and she was born 24/6/1868 at Whitecliff. Ada married James Henry Robins (known as Henry) on 18/3/1884,her age on the certificate was 20yrs, but she was actually not yet 16!.
Another twist ....Henry's father (Henry snr )married Ada's mother on 31st Jan 1881....Henry and Ada were stepbrother and sister .
Back to William and Mirah...I think you mentioned the witness on Kate's marriage was a William Edward Martin , your Wiliam Henry had a sister, Louisa and I have a marriage for a Louisa to William Edward Martin on 5/1/1902 at Coleford , which would fit in for you .
Hope you can follow all this ,sometimes it's not easy to write it all down!!

Struggling with a baptism for William snr. It doesn't help that William Jones must be the most common name on the planet! His father was William Priday, so possibly illegitimate. I found three single Jones women who each had a son named William!

Also, Myra Beach was the daughter of Joseph & Eliza. She had 8 sisters and 1 brother. I can find all their baptisms but not hers.

Ye Gods, these Voresters are hard to vollow! I think I've got this right! Joseph & Eliza Beach's daughter Myra married William Jones in 1870. Another of their daughters (Ada) married Henry (Harry) Robins in 1884.
Myra & William's son was William Henry. Ada & Henry's daughter was Kate. So they were 1st cousins and married in 1903. The only discrepancy I can see is a difference in age of 4 years for Ada. She was baptised 13/09/1868 making her 16 when she married in 1884. However on the Parish Record it states she was 20.
Please feel free to correct me - I'm brain dead now!

I am searching for any information regarding my Grand Father WILLIAM HENRY JONES BORN ABT 1880 in or around Coleford Gloucester. He married KATE ROBBINS(Robins sometimes spelt with 1B) 26th December 1903 in St John's Church Coleford. William Edward Martin & Louisa Robbins were witnesses at the wedding.

According to the marriage certificate at the time of the wedding William and Kate where living in the Whitecliff area of Coleford.
