Yellow journalism?

I think, thanks to you and Mike, I've got it figured out! The Rhoda that married Samuel Stubbs is my grandfather's aunt. Not the Rhoda who married, John May.

The error in the news article, albeit a minor one, is that the Mrs. Tomblins she's living with is probably the wife of her grandson, Percy. Her daughter Mary Ann married, Frederick Percy Cecil Tomblins, in 1911. I haven't gotten to their children...yet.

Contrary to what was printed in the news article, I've found evidence that Rhoda Hawkins Stubbs died in 1927. IF she were alive in 1936, she would have been 90, as ststed in the article. But, the age listed in the BMD Index would be correct also. Now what?

Edith Baglins Eighty Descendants 1936

Anyone out there with a Baglin/Hawkins connection? I've read and re-read the press clipping that Slowhands submitted. For the life of me I have no idea who is the mentioned Mrs. Stubbs! Most of the info contained in the article is correct. I've checked the census, church records and BMD. Maybe someone has info that I don't have...any ideas? Thanks!
