I am currently looking into my family tree. I have found an old newspaper cutting regarding the death of James Edward 'Ted' Freeman who died 26 march (unsure of year) at the age of 82.
The newspaper article states' he was born at Hope Mansell but moved to Vain Farm, then the home of his uncle and aunt the late Mr Edward Meredith some 70 years ago'
I am getting confused as to how we tie into the Merediths or why he was raised by them. can anybody help?
