Archival history The records created by the Forestry Commission are public records. The Gloucestershire Record Office was designated an appropriate place for deposit of Forestry Commission records relating to the Forest of Dean in 1996, the records being held here on licence under section 4(1) of the Public Records Act 1958.<br />

<title>Whitehaven and Warrior Mines</title>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have two 'Gales' dated 1930 issued in the name of Charles Elsmore, my great<br />
grandfather. They are for WHITEHAVEN No.2   and WARRIOR No.2  Iron Mine Gale.<br />
Does anyone know where they were situated ?<br />
 The documents detail boundary stones but how do I find out where they are ?</p>
