I believe Oliver Malsom was born 12 November 1848 not 1861 (there was possibly a cousin Oliver born 1861).
Oliver's mother was George Malsom's 1st wife Mary who died in 1850.
Oliver was much older than Kate his wife and was 84 when he died in 1932 not 77 as recorded in the church records.

The Ellis Malsom in the 1911 census is my great grandfather his name was actually Illis his daughter is my mums mum.

I have done some research on the family and I have an ancestry.co.uk account with them on it. I have Olivers parents doen as george and elizabeth but of course this is a work in progress and would appreciatte any information. Please also feel free to ask me anything

Thanks for that. I have just re checked the Oliver married in 1935 and realise that he would have been born 1872 so is more likely to be son of George Malsom b1832 and Hannah Clutterbuck

Thank you so much for your help. The Oliver you have found is the one I have been trying to link this family to, but the differing dates made me think I must be wrong.
How did you link Kate Davis to Oliver? I have been unable to find a marriage for Oliver and Kate. Also where is "The Stenders".
In the parish records I have also found a marriage on 23rd Nov. 1935 for a Oliver Malson age 63 and it gives his father name as George. I thought this may be the same Oliver but had ruled it out as it states batchelor, what do you think? Thanks again for your help.

I am trying to find the parents of Oliver Malsom born c 1861 Drybrook. His wife's name was Kate and in 1901 they were living at Mutlers Row, East Dean with their children Dora, Oliver, Elsie and George.
Can anyone out there help?
