I wonder if his full name was John Thomas Edwards ?. That said I cannot find any PRs confirming this wrt Jessie, or indeed any PRs for a John Thos Edwards at all to my surprise, so ??
I CANNOT find a Baptism for any Alice Edwards to father Thomas, so I assume the Marriage Record maybe slightly erroneous in this respect ?

I do however find what is clearly this same family, but is it "our" family ?

I suspect the actual Birth was late 1859, perhaps due to the busy December season, weather problems etc, such Births are registered a few weeks "late" at this time of year.
