Dear Mike,

thank you so much for giving me all that information. I will try now to put it all into context within the family. You never know I may find a living relative from my Jenkins side which I have not done so far. Nor from most other sides either. Perhaps my family are just not interested in their history!

Dear Mike,

thank you so much that is brilliant. I had found the death of William I Holder and discounted it because of the I in the middle. However given that Eliza Ann married again in 1877 it all looks correct. Thank you for the 1881 - another Victualler!

I wondered if anyone could help me on this one. I am trying to find out what happened to William Holder who married Eliza Ann Jenkins in the March quarter of 1867 Abergavenny district (Bedwelty/Tredegar)

From the 1871 census they were living at the Black Prince Inn Tredegar.

I have found the baptism of William Holder in 1868 at Lea on the FOD website.

I cannot find the baptism of Amelia J D Holder in Beckford

I have William Holder 1868 on the 1881 census of Chepstow as a boarder at the Belle Vue House School.

I think that I have Amelia Holder, a governess, with her grandmother Harriet Dudfield at Fleet Lane, Twining Glos on the 1881 census.

I cannot find any of the others on the 1881 census nor can I find any deaths for Eliza Ann or William Holder senior. I also cannot find a baptism for William Holder senior at Cleeve, Glos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
