My great grandmother was Eliza Ann Baldwin (b1864, d 1929) the daughter of Jacob Baldwin (b1815) and Selina Jordan (b1838). Eliza Ann Baldwin married Joseph Baldwin (b1848)and she had 18 children all with the surname "Baldwin" although Joseph Baldwin died in 1892, 9 of the children were born after 1892! I have a fair amount of info on the Baldwin and Jordon families if you need to know more.

Eliza Jordan age 61 Wife
Sarah A. Jordan Granddaughter.

Shown as a Boarder in the house of Benjamin Baldwin age 47 Collier living at
Ruardean Hill

Lucy Baldwin Age 1 - Boarder (there is no annotation against Lucy's name)Others in the house Elizabeth Baldwin age 83 Mother (widow of Engine Driver)
Louisa Baldwin age 40 Wife
Isaac Baldwin age 10 Son

Thank you for the info.
That shows where the two Jacobs were in 1871.
I believe Eliza had died, but still have to look for EZ 5 and Lucy 1.
Could they have been with thier grandfather Phillip Jordan?

So far I have found the baptisms of three other children on this site.

ELIZA ANN baptised 17/04/1864 at Drybrook
EZ baptised 23/09/1866 at Drybrook
JAMES DOVEY baptised 09/10/1859 at Drybrook.

There is also a burial record for James Dovey: 12/05/1863 age 3 years buried at Drybrook.

In helping a friend trace her great grandmother I find a household in the 1881 census consisting of:
Jacob Baldwin 65
Jacob Baldwin 19 son
Lucy Baldwin 11 daughter
They are in East Dean

Could someone with access to the 1871 census please look for this family for me. There appear to be more members who may have died.
