Crowdace / Croudace in Forest of Dean

Hi,

I am doing a study of my maternal family tree.
I would love to hear from anyone with connections to the Crowdace / Croudace family. I believe anyone of those names in the FoD to be related to me somehow.

My family originated from a John Croudace ( birthplace and birthdate unknown ) who married a Mary Ann Morgan born 1810 in St Briavels in 1835 ( her father was William Morgan born 1786 ). They had three sons:

John W Crowdace 1837–1925
Charles Henry Crowdace 1839–1903
Thomas James Crowdace 1841–1902

I have full records of all their descendants ( up to 1901 and some beyond ), and am a descendant of Charles Henry.

I would especially love to find out where the original John Croudace hails from, the FoD database provides a couple of other Crowdace/Croudaces in the area circa 1800 but I cannot make a connection to my line, tho I'm sure one exists. It is rumoured that John Croudace ( or his father ) came down from the Durham area at the end of the 1700s.

I would be very grateful for any information.
