Hi Kathy I lived with my grandparents William and Alice Ellway of Myrtle Cottage Pillowell from about 1940 to 1950. They had a son William henry Ellway
who lived near kears bakery in pillowell and later at Yorkley when the new concil houses were built. The latter had 7 daughters 2 of whom attended Pillowell School when I was a pupil there. do you have any info on Pillowell Ellways, please? Many thanks, Christine Jones

I am the son of Raymond Ellway.
Lenard was my uncle and lived in Barnstable Devon before his death.
Aubrey lived in Bristol before his death some years ago.
I have a brother Desmond who also lives in the Forest of Dean.

I am researching the ELLWAY family. My husbands grandparents lived in Viney Hill (Grove House, on Grove Road). Names were Herbert and I believe Sarah. They had 4 sons, one died at birth or soon thereafter. The other sons were Raymond, Leonard and Aubrey, all deceased now.
Does anyone know anything about them or their extended families? I would appreciate any help.
