During the past year a Photo Gallery for old photographs of People and Places of
the Forest was introduced on the web site which has created more interest than I
ever imagined and additional pictures for display in the gallery keep flowing in
all the time.

The Message Board has been updated to a new forum style board and this has
developed into a very popular place for people tracing their ancestors of the
Forest and now contains a vast amount of information which can be searched
through.

For many years I've been hosting the Forest of Dean Family History Pages on the
web space that comes with my internet connection but a long time ago I ran out
of room for all this material and I've been borrowing space on the Watkins FHS
Web Site which I also look after.

With all this expansion going on I decided that the Forest of Dean Family
History Pages needed a dedicated Web Site of its own so now I'm using a hosting
company for its contents and obtained an appropriate domain name.
