My mum was in comtact with him when she was over there in 2013. But I do hope he gets in touch to help me figure some of this out. I'm doing more of direct line for now then do brothers sisters and things. My mum has helped me quite a bit with what she knows. It's amazing to see things and read stories about my ancestors. Thank you for answering.

I knew Elvedia Dolores Caroline Gardiner, nee Hale, who is mentioned in this forum thread. She was a lovely woman who sadly died in 2014 aged 95. Her Son in Law did much research into the Hale family for her and I have alerted him to your enquiry on this forum. He is a user of this site and I hope he will get in touch.

Using the Gloucestershirebmd :

I just put in dates say from 1915 'til 1920 with mother's maiden name - and eliminate the year ...... slowly 'til I get the year for a specific christian name - but still no luck on District.

There was a Joseph but he died around 2005.

I do know my grandfather was born in 1917 and his father's name was Thomas. His mother's name was Olga not sure of her maiden name.
