Newspaper Obituaries for FoD and area

Since I am new to researching this area, can anyone tell me what newspapers were in the FoD area in the 1800's and into the 20th century? Is there a particular repository that houses these records? I am trying to gather further evidence to move along the family lines in the area and this would certainly help if I could locate obituaries for people. Thanks so much for your help.
