many thanks slowhands alass no family bible. My families didn't seem to keep in contact with each other and Chris and I are the grophers doing the research with a few more walls broken thru. I know the IGI is not 100% but i am compeletely happy with The Forest of Dean Family History site here and just blown away by it and the many helping hands and eyes on here. Once again slowhands many thanks and to David Watkins.
By chance David you not related to The ELSMORE or my Mary are you, just a thought.

yes and no !

I feel more comfortable with 1825/26 for her year of birth, however the data is never 100%, so keep an open mind - there maybe other documents around in the family i.e. a bible that help prove this one way or another

Mary SIMMONS from Ellwood I found this but am confuzzled it states her father as John WATKINS, but she was single when married to Edwin ELSMORE, should she have been WATKINS not SIMMONS, maybe her mother was a WATKINS. Any ideas who she may of been and date for Mary SIMMONS please.
I know she was my gt gt grandmother. and why did they never metioned the child's mother on information, bit eyed if you ask me.
