Knew it meant Salt but hardly think this was his name, also aware of Salix as I am a Horticulturist. But thanks for the thought.

Willow = Salix

I am transcrbing Latin burial records and have come across the above name as husband of a deceased wife. Can anyone suggest what this should be in English
