This is indeed Joanna's line. You are right in suggesting that Hibted should
read Niblett, Hewelsfield was where they lived.
The marriage certificate of Moses and Joanna shows the father of Moses Harris is John a farmer. The census transcription suggests that it Robert, this is a transcribing error the original shows John. John's wife is Ann Pickman born Caerwent. Her parents were John and Tabitha. Ann had a brother named Moses which explains her calling her son after him.

hi I dont know if you can help at all. its Harris family i am trying to find. I believe my great gran was one Elizabeth Harris married a William Rivers. And my grt grt grand parents were Eliabeth Harris and Nehemiah Harris both are burried at the Forest Church. My grandad was Sidney james Rivers. he was known locally as Swanee Rivers . Lived in Drybrook and later Cinderford. I desperately want to tract his family. I dont know if my Harris family are know by you.
Could you possibly help im new to this and i have no idea where to begin.

I'll need to check some old maps , however the "feel" of the Census is in the area of the Coleford Rd / Brierley / Ruardean Hill.....

1871 East Dean District 11 enumerated commencing John Vaughan's Pool ( nr Churchway) in the east before leading to the East Slade Works /Pits

So which John Vaughan ???

So its Ruardean Hill /Brierley / Herbert Lodge area for sure !
