Thanks, Slowhands, am coming to same conclusion about Henry and Thomas not being related. Curiously, many of the censuses on my mother's side contained lots of nephews and nieces, grandchildren and in-laws - which made cross-referencing and confirmations easier, but there's hardly any in the Jenkins - perhaps they lived in smaller houses!

"feeling" is they may not be related Thomas looks like he comes from Ellwood,Coleford, Henry may come from East Dean..

Mea Culpa, sorry, and thanks, Slowhands - I had mis-filed my census as 1861 and it should have read 1851. Henry's dob appears to be about 1804, certainly not the Henry of 1810 Newlands or 1817. Yes, Henry was still living in 1861, in Ruspidge, with wife Mary Ann (believed to be Meredith, but unproven yet - an LDS private submission) and family. Original post edited!

Henry JENKINS, Thomas JENKINS and John JENKINS

My 2nd gt-grandfather Henry Jenkins is listed in the 1851 census as being age 44 and living next door to Thomas Jenkins age 47. I'm trying to establish if there's any connection between the two, and also to John Jenkins b1818 West Dean, whose son Isaac Jenkins married Thomas's daughter Mary Jenkins in 1871. I have the relevant census copies, but Henry's family remains steadfastly detached. Does anyone have additional info or knowledge, or spotted anything I've missed?
