Hi, I have done a comprehensive history of the Selby family in the Fod and have not yet come across Vincent. He appears to have been born in Cheshire and the only person I can find born 1919 there is George V Selby with mother Davies. I have also found his attestation in the Royal Artillery. It is possible he is not a member of our Selby family but I will do some more research to see if I can find anything. If you are able to tell me the name of the Selby family member who gave you the painting it would be helpful. Most of the family in the Clearwell area belong to John Selby born 1830. You can write to me on my email if necessary. I would certainly like to find more about him if he is indeed in our family.

I have a Landscape Painting by a Vincent Selby, this was given me by a member of the Selby Family who came from the Clearwell area in the 1970's. Does anyone know anything about him?
