I know this message was posted several years ago, but I wanted to advise that I am a descendant of Samuel and Maria. They had a son, George b1846, who married Annie Workman. They had several children, one of whom is my Great Grandfather, Hedley Vickers Jones, who was born in 1884. He moved to Canada and married Lily Duckworth, and had my grandmother Marjorie Jones in 1914. Looking for any information I can on this family. Starting with when George died. Would love to share information!

All that part of the Parish of St.Briavels to the Eastward of the Turnpike Road leading from thence to Coleford including Aylesmore House and all the Village of St.Briavels

Looking for any GLS records prior to 1838 for the marriage of Samuel Jones and Maria Palmer whose children were subsequently born in the Bream area in
1838 Josaih Jones (came to New Zealand 1865)
1842 Milson George Jones (came to New Zealand 1862)
1846 Frances Elizabeth Jones (she died in Bream in 1849)
There is a possibility they were listed in the census of 1841, 1851, 1861 in the FOD area before their immigration to New Zealand from 1862. There may be other siblings.
To my knowledge, Samuel and Maria Jones remained in the FOD area.
