Biblins Bridge (reply)

The Forestry Commission in 1957 built the suspension bridge at Biblins. Local timber was used for the frames that are anchored firmly into concrete at each end. It is popular with young children who relish the thought of running across it creating as much swing and bounce as possible. It is a much less popular experience for the faint-hearted or those suffering motion sickness or vertigo although the views upstream and downstream through the depths of the Wye Valley compensate for any slight discomfort.
