Hi Richard,
Apologies if I have contacted you before. My family of Watkins's also came from the Forest of Dean. George Watkins, born c.1830, Coleford on one Census and St. Briavels on another. George and his wife, Elizabeth (nee Davies from Lower Cam) came to Blaina, South Wales sometime after 1868 (two of his children being born there - Caroline and Henry Watkins). They had three other children - Alfred, Tom, Josiah born in Club Row, Blaina, South Wales. I don't seem to be getting any further with my Watkins's - any connection with Richard that you know of?
