The database has therefore been corrected.
It is perhaps worth mentioning at this time that there is a Database Correction Request Form for cases of this nature (see drop down list under Help-FAQ in the Top Menu). It is a straightforward form to complete and when submitted is delivered to a member of the team who has access to originals (not all are on Ancestry).

I have two marriages of Thomas Jones, same father, occupation, widowed marrying 1. Eliza Haile, father Israel & 2. Jane Haile, father Israel, in the same church on the same day.

One entry is on the Forest of Dean site the other is the actual record scanned on Ancestry.

Register reference from FOD site: P85/1 IN 1/4, Page number 21, Cinderford St John,
Groom ref J520, Bride ref H400.


Jane Haile married John Barnes 1850 so I think the correct bride is Eliza. which means FOD have transcribed it wrong.

This is the only conclusion I can come to.
