Richard Ball and Family circa 1820 to 1840 (reply)

Just received a certified copy of Richard Ball and Jene Cecil's Marriage Certificate.

They were married on 11th August, 1840 at the Register Office in Pontypool, Monmouthshire. The Father's names were William Ball and Charles Cecil respectively.

I, and many others, am in a quandary as to Richard Ball's birthplace. Woolaston seems the most likely place somewhere in the 1812-1821 point in time.

Any suggestions or hints on locating his birthplace will be greatly appreciated.

Mel Ball

Richard Ball and Family circa 1820 to 1840

Richard Ball is my great, great, great grandfather. He was born in Woolaston, Gloucestershire around 1820 to 1840. We know he moved to the Pontypool area where he married Jane Cecil around 18**. He died in Pontypool area around 1891. In particular I am interested in locating any information on his parents, grandparents and siblings. Any photos would be an added benefit. Thanks in advance.
