Thanks for this info and so quick!
I have found most of this too here myself on this site by looking at Parish records - but your reply is easier to follow as I'm still on bits of paper etc.
I will order Rosina's death cert as this would help. Interestingly the names of the children do not necessarily match up to the BMD index records but I guess this isn't uncommon and the parent's names are definately the same and the baptism dates correspond with birth years etc.

Will carry on looking and would love to hear from anyone else with any info / interest

Frederick died only a month before the last child was born (perhaps that's where the feeling of being 'let down' came from?) Wouldn't her death certificate tell you something i.e. if it was suicide or if she was pregnant?

I am searching for information on Rosina Maria Dovey born Pritchard 1872. Rosina married Charles Lewis in 1891, widowed 1900 and re married the lodger Frederick John Dovey in 1901. Frederick died in 1905 and Rosina in 1908. Family stories suggest she committed suicide after 'being let down'or jilted when pregnant - so far my limited research refutes this but I would like to know. Rosina had a number of sons Lewis and Dovey - my grandfather Charles Gilbert Lewis being the oldest born 1892ish Lydney died 1950s. Census returns and BMD index place the family in Lydney.

First time poster so hope this all makes sense - would love to hear and share information with others.
