Thanks Slowhands - with details so far could be the Priestly - How Joyce came to meet and marry him is still a puzzle - she must have left the forest for work !!!!! Family have never mentioned a Bradford connection !!!

Thanks Chris & Slowhands Still a puzzle to me - As far as I know all the family lived in the forest - Lydney - Yorkley - Cinderford and later Gloucester
I have no information on the Priestley or Weyman families - The only army connection I know of is through the brother of Joyce / Thomas who's son Thomas was kia in 1918

I can't find ANY Priestley's in the Forest. The name appears predominantly in the north of England. I wonder if Mr Priestley was in the Armed Forces and they married abroad?

My grans sister Joyce Selina ROBERTS b. 1875 to Anthony & Mary ROBERTS is recorded as a servant in 1891 in the Savidge household. In 1901 she is recorded as Joyce S PRIESTLEY widow living with her father. I only knew Joyce as married to an Alfred William WEYMAN - June 1904 living in Cinderford - She married as Joyce Selina PRICELEY -- todate I have been unable to find any records related to the Marriage of Joyce ROBERTS and a PRIESTLY between 1881 and 1901. Can anyone help me fill in the missing marriage - there maybe a child as I have a photo of Joyce and a young boy of about 5yrs old - other than the name PRIESTLY written on the back of the photo.
