It may be worth you ringing and explaining you are looking for Joan, they may be able to check their burial records and tell you where she is buried and whether she is buried with your G Grandfather

W G Beard was a Special Constable serving in the Forest (Police) division during the second world war.

He is photographed on P 154 of "A Forest Beat" in the Ruardean section, with PC Jim Boughton

im hoping that someone could help me i am looking for a grave at ruardean church many years ago my nan had a baby girl who`s name was joan m watkins she died when she was roughly 15 - 18 months old my nans name was marjorie beard until she married my gramp cyril watkins from cinderford as far as i know my nan originated from ruardean her dad`s name was william beard people knew him as ted he was the local policeman and he was also the bellringer at ruardean church he used to live at pearson cottage next to the village hall my nan`s brother also lived in ruardean his name was arthur beard we`re not sure but we think my great grandad was buried with joan she died in 1936 there is no headstone i would be grateful if someone could help us with some information.thank you ,karen chiswell nee watkins.
