I can't see a possible match elsewhere - now that doesn't rule out emigration !

Many thanks for the info and for your patience which I am about to test further by asking you if you would be able to find out if the JONESs family were still in West Bromwich in 1861(as they were in1851)and to see if Henry junior was still with them in West Bromwich

I'm having trouble identifying them in 1861, there is a suspect Henry who claims West Dean as his place of birth - which would lead me to Upper Lydbrook / Worral Hill area....

Thanks for sending the details of Henry JONES but I`m doing "a Oliver Twist " by asking for more help. I was wondering if the JONES family were still in West Browich or whether they moved back to FOD? because in 1855 "my" Henry became the father of Jane JONES(my great grandmother)

Thanks again for your help so it seems I can eliminate those 2 Henry JONESs "My Henry was recorded as being born in Lydbrook in 1832 but he doesn`t seem to be in the parish records(yet)

Whitecliff is to the west of Coleford

Hudnalls is an area to the north of ST Briavels Common

So neither is a natural fit for Lydbrook / English Bicknor.

On the parish records there are two Henry JONESs. One was born 1832 at Whitecliff and the other in 1831 at Hudnalls. Which of these two would describe himself as being born in Lydbrook?Or are both places in Lydbrook?
