Interested to find reference to an aged ancestor.
Marmaduke was my Great-grandfather's great-uncle. His surname was Laver, not Layer :-) Born in Chigwell in 1814, married twice and died in 1901 in Monmouth. I believe he rests in Parkend churchyard, Lydney.
