I'm assuming that Coates by Cirencester is to distinguish this Coates from another in Gloucester?!?!

Hello,

We have just discovered that William Roberts (b: 1789 Coates, Glos. Farmer.) married Elizabeth Tyler 20.05.1817 at Newland, Glos -- this is according to the IGI. They immediately moved to Llanellen Monmouthshire where they had many children, one of which, a daughter Jane, married a Walter Matthews and eventually their descendents emigrated to the US!

So, if anyone is researching TYLER in Newland (or area) or even ROBERTS in Coates or can suggest resources for searching these families, that would be much appreciated!
