Pip prop scandal

Can anyone help. I'm searching for newspaper reports for the Forest of Dean between I think 1970-1980 where the National Coal Board took local timber merchants and sawmills owners to court for defrauding the Coal Board by only delivering part loads of pit props to the surrounding pits and charging for full loads. I believe that some men were jailed for this.
